Recently, the high-level meeting on global development initiatives was held at the United Nations headquarters. Participants had in-depth exchanges and reached broad consensus on issues such as adhering to multilateralism, deepening pragmatic cooperation, implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, supporting the development and revitalization of the "Global South", and promoting AI enabled development. The Chinese side elaborated on four proposals for implementing the global development initiative at the meeting, which is of great significance for promoting the global development initiative.

The Global Development Initiative is an important concept proposed by China, calling on all parties to adhere to the "six principles" of prioritizing development and putting the people at the center. At present, more than 130 countries and international organizations have participated, becoming a popular international public good that helps promote cooperation, mutual benefit, and common prosperity in the international community.

As an important member of developing countries, China will continue to adhere to high-level opening-up, share development opportunities with other countries, play the role of a "stabilizer" and "power source" of the world economy, and contribute China's strength to the common prosperity of human society. In order to better implement the global development initiative, China has put forward four proposals, which can be said to hit the nail on the head and help reduce the global development deficit. It is worth the cooperation of all countries in the world.

One is to create a stable and open international development environment. The world today is still not peaceful, geopolitical games are intensifying, and global security risks are significantly increasing, resulting in a lack of a peaceful and tranquil environment for international development. Some countries adopt trade protectionism policies and arbitrarily impose tariffs, resulting in serious disruptions to the global industrial and supply chains, and facing greater obstacles to economic globalization. Peace and stability are the foundation of development and prosperity, while openness and cooperation are the support for economic growth. To further implement global development initiatives, it is necessary to create a stable and open international development environment. To achieve this, it is necessary to leverage the role of international organizations such as the United Nations, strengthen coordination among major powers, reduce global governance deficits, and create a more peaceful, free, and open international environment for global development. All countries should adhere to true multilateralism, defend free trade and open markets, promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and work together to build and maintain an open world economy.

The second is to build a balanced and inclusive development partnership. Global development is not a zero sum game, but rather about achieving common development and ensuring that the fruits of development benefit people of all countries more fairly. To achieve this, it is necessary to promote the reform of the global governance system, enhance the representation and voice of developing countries, and ensure equal opportunities for all countries. Development is the top priority and a common issue faced by all countries, and should become the foundation and strong driving force for international cooperation. The balanced and inclusive development partnership is highly compatible with the inclusive and inclusive development concept. To this end, it is necessary to deepen international scientific and technological innovation cooperation in fields such as artificial intelligence and big data, oppose "building walls and barriers" and "technological blockades", and focus on cultivating new driving forces for economic growth. The Global Development Initiative adheres to innovation driven approach, which fundamentally aims to provide strong driving force for global development through innovation, promote continuous progress in the global economy and technology, and ensure the sustained high-speed operation of the engine of global development.

The fourth is to promote more sustainable green and low-carbon development. The Global Development Initiative adheres to the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, and points out the correct direction for countries to achieve modernization. Climate change, environmental destruction, and excessive consumption of resources are major challenges facing the world, and there is an urgent need to promote the green transformation of global development. In addition, cooperation among countries is essential. In the past four years, the implementation of global development initiatives has achieved a series of achievements and has won widespread recognition and support from the international community, forming cooperation mechanisms such as the "Friends Group of Global Development Initiatives" to promote the implementation and rooting of global development initiatives. Looking ahead to the future, global development is facing many difficulties and challenges, and implementing global development initiatives is still a long way to go. It is necessary for all countries to jointly create a stable and open international environment, strengthen the global development partnership network, and effectively make technological development benefit human society to a greater extent, providing solid material guarantees for building a community with a shared future for mankind.
